Ag-Cu-Zn brazing alloy owns good properties such as low melting point, excellent wettability and ability to fill the clearances, high mechanical strength, good plasticity, electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. It is used for brazing of some ferrous metals and some non-ferrous metals, such as stainless steel, carbon steel, hard alloys, copper and copper alloys, diamond etc. It is applied widely in the industries of machinery, electromechanical, refrigeration, glasses, instrument, hard alloys and aerospace. In order to lower the melting point and meet some special needs, indium, tin or nickel are used for quaternary alloy or complex alloy. Silver brazing filler metal is applicable for all kinds of brazing methods. Brazing with silver flux is necessary to get good brazing joint except vacuum brazing or protective atmosphere furnace brazing.
